Do you really think it's possible to sum up the personality, experiences, knowledge, passions and potential of one person on to some sheets of paper? Is the "I am a reliable, passionate and punctual person" intro paragraph really going to get someone thinking "oh wow, they must be so much more reliable, passionate and punctual than all 50 other applicants who wrote the same thing!". I don't think so. You are not your CV, you are not a job description and you are not anymore reliable or punctual than the other applicants. Sharing facts about yourself just invites assumptions and judgement. Don't put all your hopes and dreams into a CV - you are more than that! You need to find the opportunity to represent yourself for who you really are. Challenge the rules of CV making, or make a personal appearance. Don't let a piece of paper define you, let them see the real you. |
