You know the feeling of that fresh start right? Getting out a blank page ready to start sketching, or watching the cursor flick at you from that empty word document. You are totally ready to begin, you got this! LETS DO IT!! ... ... ... ... Ok never mind. This is harder than you thought isn't it. A blank canvas is one of the hardest parts of a creative project to face, which is particularly annoying as it is one of the very first steps. So how can we solve this issue? As basic as this advice sounds, get something on that canvas! At this point it doesn't even really matter what it is, but staring at that empty void is surely going to get you nowhere. Generally once you start it's easier to get into a flow, so what if it's got nothing to do with your project? Nobody said you had to use it, but as long as you get whatever first thoughts are popping up on to that canvas, then you are sure to at least get the clockwork ticking inside your brain. |
