You could be one of the greatest artists in the world, but find yourself feeling nervous or self conscious when it comes to displaying your work for others. Does this still mean you are one of the greatest artists? Because to me the attitude and confidence you bring with your work is what can make you a great artist. Ever wondered why some artists 'get away' with splats and scribbles sold for millions? People aren't just buying what they do, they are buying who they are. If you believe in your work other's will start believing in it too. It's time to stop comparing yourself to other's because there are no two of the same people, so what? you'll never be able to draw like that guy, nobody will ever draw like you can either! I don't care how mediocre you think you are, brush off the fears and believe in it. What have you got to lose, compared to what you could gain in terms of a following. Not only will those who like you and your work keep you motivated to do more but they will help you see just how great you are. p.s I'm pretty great, I think :) |
