Friendly competition can be a great way to get motivated. It's a way of not only setting a goal, but actually helping to push you to the goal and carry on as far as you can. Set small rewards in your competition, first person to finish the assignment shout's coffee, first person to think of ten ideas wins a chocolate bar. Make it friendly and not aggressive, and continue to do it for as many milestones as it takes to get you there. Each time you succeed it motivates the other person to work harder, and vice versa. And if you don't want to agree on a competition, simply do it in your head! Tell yourself you want to achieve the highest and seeing the success of others will motivate you to get going. Set yourself a reward if you win the competition going on in your mind. It's an easy strategy that nobody will even realise you're doing, they'll simply think "damn they are really motivated! I wish I had the energy to put in that much effort." Don't be the person thinking that. Be the person with the strategy. |
